2024 Campaign Chair
-
Our 2024 campaign proudly centered around raising awareness for the Calgary Distress Center, an organization dedicated to providing essential mental health and crisis support services in our community. By focusing our charity education efforts on this vital cause, we were able to amplify the impact of our fundraising initiatives and highlight the resources available to those in need.
This year marked a significant milestone for our campaign, raising a record-breaking $406,000—our highest amount yet. Key to this success was the introduction of a Sub-Committee Chair, who played a pivotal role in refining our strategy. Through detailed analytics, we corrected underperforming events, leading to unprecedented results.
We also celebrated multi-department collaboration and gender diversity within our committee, fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation. These diverse perspectives were crucial in identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) that we will target for further improvement in our 2025 campaign.
Our commitment to supporting the Calgary Distress Center, alongside our strategic enhancements, allowed us to create lasting community impact and set the stage for even greater success in the future.
2023 Campaign Chair
-
In 2023, our campaign focused on supporting the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), an organization that plays a crucial role in promoting mental health and providing vital resources across our community. By highlighting the importance of mental well-being, we were able to engage more people and drive significant awareness throughout our fundraising efforts.
This year, we raised an impressive $390,000, driven by the introduction of creative and engaging fundraising techniques. From dunk tanks to pie tosses, our innovative approach not only brought in more funds but also made the campaign more fun and interactive for participants. To build excitement ahead of the kickoff, we produced a series of commercials that created buzz and heightened anticipation, setting the stage for a successful launch.
Additionally, we expanded our key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of these new initiatives and to guide future campaigns. By continually refining our strategy, we ensured that our efforts not only met but exceeded expectations, paving the way for even more impactful fundraising in the years to come.
2022 Campaign Chair
-
In 2022, our campaign was dedicated to supporting All In for Youth, a program committed to providing essential resources and opportunities for vulnerable children and youth. By focusing on education, we aimed to drive awareness and inspire action within our community.
To engage participants in a meaningful yet enjoyable way, we incorporated games where winning was based on knowledge gleaned from educational posters displayed throughout the halls. This interactive approach not only made learning more engaging but also created an exciting atmosphere for everyone involved.
This year was a breakthrough for our campaign, raising $330,000—double the amount raised the previous year. Key to this success was the introduction of algorithmic events, which have since become a cornerstone of our fundraising strategy. Additionally, we introduced education on donating through gifts of security, opening up new opportunities for higher contributions and expanding our donor base.
The 2022 campaign set new standards and innovations that continue to shape our approach, ensuring lasting impact for the causes we champion.
2021 Campaign Chair
-
In 2021, amidst the challenges of a global pandemic, we adapted and delivered a completely virtual campaign that became a record-shattering success. Despite setting a modest goal of $80,000, we exceeded all expectations by raising $160,000—doubling our target and setting a new benchmark for future campaigns.
The focus of our educational efforts that year was on mental health, a critical issue as people navigated unprecedented levels of stress and uncertainty. To maintain engagement in a virtual environment, we leveraged online games hosted through our intranet and organized competitive teams, which created a sense of community and healthy competition.
2021 also marked a milestone with our highest payroll pledges to date and saw our highest participation rate up until 2024. The campaign’s success highlighted the power of adaptability and innovative thinking, even in the face of significant obstacles.
